In Alyssa Milano for Mayor, a soft-scripted show in the vein of Curb Your Enthusiasm, Milano, through a series of circumstances, ends up becoming the mayor of a suburban L.A. town and is forced to deal with the minutiae of community politics. The series, which somewhat echoes ABC’s freshman The Mayor, is being produced by A+E Studios in association with Milano’s Peace by Peace Productions.

Nat Bates For Mayor tells the story of the outrageous 2014 mayor's race in Richmond, home to the second largest refinery in California. In a brazen move, Chevron spent more than $3 million to back 83-year-old African American stalwart Nat Bates. Bates makes a Faustian bargain with the city's corporate behemoth in a cagey attempt to preserve the long-standing but waning power of Richmond's African-American working class community, whose rich history dates back to the formation of the Kaiser shipyards during World War Two.

Irene Handl and Wilfred Pickles are two senior citizens who find that as romance blossoms, so too does emotional turmoil. The series gently charts the relationship between Yorkshireman Walter Bingley and Londoner Ada Cresswell, septuagenarians who meet while Ada is visiting the grave of her late husband. Will their love survive the disapproval of Ada's daughter, Ruth? Does the permissive society extend to its senior citizens? Can the North-South divide be bridged? And will Walter and Ada ever save enough money to get married on their old-age pensions?
